Please help!

A unpleasant individual by the name of Cliff James is waging war against Tumblr, or to be more precise, against spanking blogs on Tumblr. He has already caused the deletion of a number of accounts by wildly claiming copyright for a myriad of images. We have no idea why he does this (Bitter? No sex life? Who knows…..) but we really need him to stop.

He now posts under http://thespankingblogtaker.tumblr.com (I know, how creative…) and myself and many others would be most grateful if:

- You help us reblog this as often as possible

- Set his account to ignore and complain about him to Tumblr.

We all have no idea why this warped individual does this. He clearly doesn’t understand Tumblr or today’s online environment. Some of us have even had contact with him (he claims to have worked for some old spanking magazines but there is no way to prove this) and have agreed to give him full image credit, to which he agreed, only to then turn around and complain anyway.

None of us are malicious copyright infringers. We all just post about stuff we like and we will take images down as soon as we are requested. This individual never even asked! He’s on a mission and completely misses the opportunity of having loads of powerful blogs link to his site. Instead, he is pissing everyone off. So please remember the name Cliff James, please complain about him to Tumblr and please avoid this individual wherever possible. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I was going to stay out of this bizarre drama, but then the name jerked my memory. He used to run a tumblr (for the love of me I don’t remember it, kissmycane?), and would post *drum roll…* pictures of material whose copyright he didn’t own (both amateur and all the big known spanking sites like RS, GBS, Dallas, etc), trying to funnel people to his professional site - http://cliffjamesphotography.com/. And he did this blatantly, despite having an enormously long sidebar of him threatening legal action if someone violated HIS copyright. 

I remember him because he posted a bunch of our photos from reddit - he is one of the reasons why we ended up here in the first place. He never responded to my friendly “hi, we’re here now, you can reblog from us in the future if you want” message, and then got into an absurd flamewar on his blog with Michael Masterson who called him out on his obvious hypocrisy. 

Right now, I’m pretty sure that the source of all of this is that his own blog got kicked off for copyright violations and he’s throwing a strange little tiff.
